How it works

It Starts with chemistry

Heavy Chemistry is designed to help students learn to perform and collaborate with other musicians.

Our staff curates small format bands of similar age ranges, skill sets, and musical interests to maximize band compatibility. Then, we help you through guided rehearsals, practice plans, and advice. We’ll even help you set up real gigs!

Build chemistry

We’ll teach you the fundamentals of playing music and performing with others. Improve your listening, build expressiveness, amplify your stage presence, get comfortable with improvisation, and learn to play solos.

Hone your set

We’ll provide a starting song list and work with your band to source the songs you love. Then it’s practice, practice, practice.

Perform live

Heavy Chemistry includes live performances for the Loudlands community at local studios and venues. Tear up the stage and celebrate all your hard work.

  • My First Time Playing In A Band

“I had a blast and got to know some great people. I thought our instructor Syd did a terrific job showing us how to become a cohesive group that played together rather than just at the same time. I also learned to listen and interact with the other musicians.”

    - Chad N.

  • Do It

Great classes and instructors. Ensemble classes were fantastic with showcase concert every few months.

    - Allan F.

  • Chops To the next level

“I was a beginner guitarist and felt I needed to play with other musicians to advance. Not only did I get better at guitar I also learned to play some keyboards. They even got me singing! The live performance was an adrenaline rush.”
