When did you start playing?
I started playing piano around age 13, and started taking singing more seriously in middle school. I began studying music and voice in high school and have been studying both instruments ever since!
What's your favorite aspect of music or your instrument?
I love voice and singing to my core because of the true catharsis that washes over my entire body when I sing. Singing is traditional, cultural, and deeply spiritual. The absolute joy of singing and sharing music with others has forever been a clear calling to me!
Who are some of your favorite bands/musicians and why?
I am super into both vocal mastery and Indie Rock Music I can vibe out to. With Billie Eilish being an all time favorite since adolescence, I'm a massive fan of Djo, Jensen McRae, Paramore, Hozier, quinnie and Yebba. All of these artists have mastered either or both of these incredible qualities of music, across several genres.
What are some of your current and/or past music projects?
Having released my first solo EP at 18, I am currently working on a debut EP with my Alt. Rock Band "ATTICUS" set to release in Spring of 2026. However, lots of my musical focus has been on live performance!
How would you describe your music and playing style?
As a self-accompanist on guitar and piano, I tend to write closer to indie/folk but enjoy flipping my demos into heavier rock songs with my wonderful band.
Can you please describe your gear of choice?
I'm happy with a durable dynamic mic like an SM57 and the nearest XLR cable! (And if i'm being honest I have a lot of fun with vocal processors like Electro-Harmonix's Voice Box).
Any general advice you'd like to give to beginner musicians or someone looking to get started?
Being patient with yourself, and following your passion! I find the best motivation to come from pairing incremental technical skill with music you love to play; progress that you're excited to make.
Aside from playing/making music, what are some of your other interests and hobbies?
I am a big fan of interior designing and creating cozy spaces for myself, and baking for my friends when we're all together! I am also passionate about personal style and gothic-style jewelry.
If you were battling a physically identical but evil android version of yourself on top of a skyscraper during a thunderstorm and someone miraculously intervened, how would they know which one was the real you?
I tend to scrunch my face when I'm really focused or stressed, I would DEFINITELY have my face scrunched. You could also play any musical theater song and I would recite all the lyrics, it's deeply ingrained in me.
